The Client

Global Freight Forwarder on the rise have moved into their new offices and are ready for a new member to join their ever growing team. New clients on board have made need for another motivated Customer Service/Account Manager to work their magic and keep their clients happy with round the clock information on their goods.

You will be looking after your own list of clients, covering all import (limited exports) shipments for all sea (some air) cargo, from LCL, FCL, FCX to FAK boxes. Weekly reporting for selected clients, with monthly reporting on others, you will be in charge of each of these accounts from start to finish. Liaising with a team of operators to give the best quality work your clients could ever hope for.

The Role
  • Organising all import air and sea freight shipments for a list of up to 30+ clients
  • Liaising with airlines, shipping lines and co-loaders
  • Daily contact with overseas and local agents, offices, and clients
  • Weekly and monthly PO reports
  • Monthly client meetings
You
  • 2-3 years+ experience within freight forwarding industry
  • Exposure to the customer service/account management team preferred
  • EDI exposure advantageous
  • Dealings with both air freight and sea freight import shipments
  • FAK exposure
  • Purchase Order reporting experience

The Position

Our Customer Service Officers work on the front line in our Branches and are responsible for the continued achievement of sales targets through the provision of professional member service to our valued member base. You will be expected to actively participate in campaigns and achieve sales targets, refer members to our specialists who deal with mortgage loans, financial planning, and wealth protection (life insurance) and may complete in excess of 100 member transactions per day.

You will provided with full training to ensure you become competent and compliant in all aspects of product knowledge as well as branch operations

Operating Hours

To make it easier for our members to do business with us, our branches are typically open 5.5 days per week (Monday to Saturday) and trade late on Thursday nights. You will work a variety of shifts based on the operational requirements of the branch.

33.5 hours per fortnight.

Week 1: Monday 11am – 2pm; Wednesday 11am-2pm; Thursday 1.45pm-6.15pm; Friday 11am - 2pm; Saturday 8.45am-12pm.

Week 2: Monday 11am – 2pm; Tuesday 11am-2pm; Wednesday 11am-2pm; Thursday 11am-2pm; Friday 8.15am - 1pm.

A day in the life of a Customer Service Officer:
  • Arrive at Branch & set up cash drawer and actively participate in the morning sales debrief which sets the focus for the day
  • Open doors! Serve customers & meet their financial needs through lead generation
  • Complete other transactions such as foreign cash, telegraphic transfers, term deposits, Phone & Internet Banking & opening new accounts
  • Mini balance prior to lunch, then help the staff to re-focus before jumping on the counter again
  • End of day balancing, finalising cash & cheques,
  • Participate in the afternoon sales debrief, then home you go!

Lung Foundation Australia has a fantastic opportunity for a full time Marketing & Public Relations Officer to join their dedicated team in Milton, Brisbane.

Reporting to the Senior Manager Lung Health National Program, you will be responsible for providing marketing, media and web support for Lung Foundation Australia in its efforts to achieve its ongoing goals. You will also be responsible for implementing and evaluating marketing, communications, public relations and fundraising activities.

This role will see you identifying opportunities for increasing the Lung Foundation Australia donor base and awareness of lung related conditions.

More specifically, your duties will include (but not be limited to):

  • Drafting, distributing and advising on press releases;
  • Seeking paid and unpaid media coverage;
  • Developing and maintaining a qualified media distribution list;
  • Overseeing social media opportunities including Facebook and Twitter;
