Queensland owned and operated, this organisation specialises in the supply of large capacity liquid storage tanks and systems using an innovative, patented modular design which can be delivered faster, more cost effectively and leaving only minimal changes to the environmental surrounds.

They have carved a niche for themselves having identified and targeted opportunities within the Oil and Gas sector and are on a growth path.

Installing 1 to 2 tanks a week, the civil works associated with tank installation varies in value from $100 Thousand to $2 Million and have a wide geographic spread all over the Surat Basin.

Currently there are 22 projects at various stages of development.

About the Role

Each tank construction is preceded by the construction of the pad and associated civil works (clearing & grubbing, bulk earthworks, compaction, access road construction etc).

A newly created position, the Civil Project Engineer will work closely with the Site Supervisors and be required to provide leadership, management and guidance to project teams to meet or exceed client expectations, contractual requirements and site targets across all sites and project business functions including but not limited to:

• Planning
• Programs and Processes
• Finance
• Risk
• HSEQ management
• Procurement and contracts
• Leadership
• Client and third party relationships and communication.

Success in this role will be identified through:

• The successful delivery of civil works safely, on time, and on budget, to the satisfaction of the client.
• Growing the business through the continuous promotion of the organisation's products and services in the market with a view to positioning the company for further opportunities.

About You

• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering
• Sound knowledge and expertise in the area of civil design and construction - particularly Earthworks.
• Demonstrated capability in coordinating and managing multiple projects concurrently across a number of sites.
• Experience in managing civil projects with demonstrated client relationship management capability.
• People management experience

As the business is still in its relative infancy, the nature of this position will involve a certain degree of flexibility as opportunities are identified and emergent strategies are formed. Based on this, the person will need to be adaptable as role requirements vary in order to seize on these opportunities.

Some travel will be required to and from project sites - applicants must be willing to travel (for no more than a few days at a time) as required.
