Newcrest Mining Limited is currently looking for an experienced Maintenance Planner/Scheduler for its Cadia Valley Operations. Reporting to the Senior Maintenance Scheduler, you will be responsible in the areas of surface fixed plant, including mills, conveyors, crushers and associated infrastructure.
The primary responsibilities of this role include:
- Consolidating and progressing the maintenance planning function, including service schedules, equipment parts, vendors, manuals, systems/procedures, CMMS and deliveries of parts and equipment
- Contributing to the delivery of mine production and cost outcomes through robust maintenance planning, scheduling and improvement
- Assisting with the monitoring and optimisation of equipment performance and the maintenance function
- Contributing to the development and implementation of systems and plans that identify and close gaps between budgeted and actual business performance
- Producing maintenance management KPI's and maintaining equipment history
- Participating in reviewing maintenance strategies and assisting with the optimisation of plant performance
- Preparation of annual budgets and monthly cost reviews
- Ensure safety is a key priority and never compromised
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Relevant trade or tertiary qualifications
- Previous experience in maintenance planning
- Experience with modern maintenance techniques and CMMS, exposure to Sap would be an advantage
- A demonstrated commitment to safety and the environment
- Be familiar with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Project, Excel and Word
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage time and work effectively
- Enthusiasm ,motivation and a positive attitude
