Job Description
Under direct supervision of FMS Administration Assistant:
Assists with provision of administrative and clerical support for Fire Management Services staff at Bunbury.
Assists with preparation of Fire Training Course materials.
Selection Criteria
Applicants should address the following three criteria. These should be addressed in no more than three pages.
Note: All criteria are essential unless specified otherwise.
ESSENTIAL
- Experience in dealing with internal and external enquiries with a customer service focus. Demonstrated knowledge of office procedures and administration including demonstrated competency in the use of computer databases, spreadsheets and word processing software. Ability to undertake records management and general clerical duties.
The following criteria will be assessed from your resume or at some stage during the selection process:
ESSENTIAL
- Good oral and written communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to analyse and suggest solutions to basic problems.
- Good inter-personal skills and the ability to work as a member of a team.
- Understanding of occupational health and safety; and equity and diversity principles and practices.
- Current motor vehicle Drivers License.
DESIRABLE
- Experience in a corporate records management system.
- Experience in a corporate financial system.
- Knowledge of the department’s functions and activities.
- Ability to assume a specific role in emergency situations.
