Rottnest Island Authority
This position is responsible for the Authority’s Human Resources function and leads the development, implementation and evaluation of human resources strategy in line with the strategic and operational direction of the organisation. Responsibilities include the development, implementation and maintenance of effective human resources infrastructure, systems, policies and processes including recruitment, employee relations, organisation development, occupational safety and health, learning and development, career development and change management.

In addition, the position has responsibility for the effective provision of payroll services to the agency, and for meeting legislative requirements including timely compliance reporting and compliance with public sector standards.

SELECTION CRITERIA:

  • Substantial experience in the development and delivery of direct human resource management and consultancy services in complex multi-disciplinary service organisation.
  • Substantial experience in the provision of leadership and delivery of organisational change within a strategic HR management context and diverse multi-site environment.
  • Understanding of state and federal industrial relations systems and experience in the practical application of industrial awards and agreements.
  • Proven high level communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
  • Demonstrated high level analytical, conceptual and planning skills.
  • Demonstrated planning and project management skills with the capacity to manage a diverse workload and competing priorities.
