An opportunity has arisen in their Emerald mine for a Senior Mining Engineer to join the team and provide accuracy of their plans enabling them to deliver against the short range forecast for safety, volume and cost.
This role will see you involved with:
- Produce designs, plans and schedules defining tasks and resources for production activity.
- Ensure accurate and updated planning activity is incorporated in periodic reporting.
- Provide technical advice and reporting for project evaluations.
- Support and advice operations and functions on process execution and performance.
- Report trends, risks, variance and key business drivers to management.
- Maintaining compliance with the company's operational standards.
- Cultivate positive working relationships and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Proactively drive and promote safe work behaviours.
Ideally my client is looking for candidates with the following attributes:
- Tertiary qualifications coupled with solid experience in an engineering role.
- Strong leadership attributes.
- Solid communication skills with all functions and levels.
- Experience dealing with contractors, suppliers and vendors highly desirable.
- An overriding commitment to living a "zero harm" culture.
