Compliance and Regulatory Services (CARS) branch within Brisbane Lifestyle Division contributes to the health, safety and amenity of Brisbane. We do this through a range of licensing and regulatory services related to environmental health, land use and built environment, animal management, asset use and the natural environment. Join our City Safety and Enforcement team as the Operations Coordination Manager. This unique, challenging and interesting role will see your excellent abilities brought to light, coordinating a wide range of compliance activities and disaster response operations. You will also have strong experience in managing human, financial, physical and strategic resources to assess, prioritise and resolve complex compliance matters.
This role:
- leads and coordinate the delivery of compliance response services across the branch
- manages the branch Schedule and Dispatch Centre
- works within the legislative frameworks and in partnership with customers and stakeholders to ensure consistent business planning and delivery
- provides leadership and coordination within the branch to Brisbane City Council's regional incident management teams and other key disaster and event related stakeholders
- manages our intelligence and operational analysis to develop and implement compliance strategies
- designs and implements innovative business improvement strategies.
You will have:
- experience in effectively coordinating operational resources in response to disaster, emergency and event situations
- extensive team and business leadership and management experience to deliver best practice regulatory services
- strong knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks, legislation and policies
- experience in collating, assessing and managing intelligence and information.
