Service Delivery is responsible for coordinating external party projects to minimise the impact on and the protectio of Queensland Urban Utilities assets. This team provides the following Water Industry Service (WIS) work to external clients for their projects in the areas of infrastructure creation, enhancement, replacement and/or associated protection of assets.
The Audit and Compliance Technical Officer is a critical role in contributing to the successful business/assets outcomes for Service Delivery by ensuring appropriate construction auditing activities for water and wastewater infrastructures including:
- Comprehensive scheduling, systematic monitoring, reviewing, auditing and documenting the works;
- Carry out site inspections and audits to ensure conformance with specifications, standards and requirements;
- Provide advice on construction issues; and
- Witness relevant testing, including chlorination and bacterial.
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to liaise and negotiate with a broad range of internal and external customers and independently prepare written submissions and reports.
- Demonstrated sound conceptual and analytical skills, including the ability to promote and interpret policies, practices and procedures.
- Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with teams, peers, managers and other stakeholders.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of engineering, water and sewer mains construction projects and/or suitable to quality assessment and compliance in the water and wastewater industry.
- A current 'C' class driver licence.
Ideally, you have sound experience in the water and wastewater industry, know your way around a set of drawings and specifications, be technically savvy and have experience working as a valued member of a project team.
