An opportunity now exists for an experienced Financial Analyst to join the Finance team at Queensland Nickel. The primary focus of this role is to provide strategic financial advice and reporting in order to ensure quality business decisions are made and business objectives are achieved with a particular focus on the consolidation of financial statements, cash flow reporting and treasury functions.
Reporting into the Financial Controller the core accountabilities for this role include:
- Maintaining and improving systems to prepare and consolidate the group’s financial reports
- Preparation of short and long range forecasts, with a focus on cash flow
- Providing assistance with the treasury function including managing bank guarantees, bank letter of credits, foreign exchange management and managing term deposits
- Coordination of the day to day management, administration and acquittal of credit cards across the company businesses
- Working as part of a small team to deliver accurate and timely services in the areas of financial reporting, governance and cash flow management.
To be successful in this role you will hold a degree qualification in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting and either have or be working towards attaining membership of an internationally recognised professional accounting body. Previous commercial experience including financial/economic analysis preferably in a resources/manufacturing environment would be highly regarded, along with a working knowledge of SAP.
Strong skills within accounting systems and the Microsoft software packages, in particular Microsoft Excel, coupled with excellent written and verbal communication and the ability to work effectively within a small team environment will drive your success in this position.
