Due to continued success and growth, Piacentini & Son have an opportunity for an IT Manager to join their technology function and play an instrumental role in managing and improving the functionality of their Infrastructure and Applications, and design and implement key technology projects that will drive the company forward.
Piacentini & Son is an earthmoving and mining contractor, specialising in contract mining & bulk earthworks, fixed plant, road haulage and rehabilitation services based in the South West, WA.
The IT Manager will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and be responsible for managing a small IT Department.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Providing leadership, advice and direction for the current IT staff members; including task delegation, assistance and time management
- High level of systems administration and engineering
- Demonstrate effective communication with stakeholders to achieve objectives
- Monitoring system performance, diagnosing and solving problems
- Making suggestions to improve the organisations’ current technology infrastructure
- A Tertiary qualification
- 5+ years’ experience in IT management
- Programming background (VB, C++, HTML)
- Knowledge of Exchange, SQL and MySQL
- People and project management experience
- Experience in Windows-based computers and Domain/Active Directory servers
