The role
Reporting directly to the Group Leader – Scientific Computing & IT, the Senior Web and Database Developer leads the design, development and operation of custom web and database applications. These applications are responsible for improving the productivity and efficiency of experiments conducted by the users of the facility and will facilitate the information management around the experiment life cycle at the Australian Synchrotron for an increased scientific output.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in the entire software development life-cycle and a variety of programming languages, as well as previous experience in managing a software development project within a small – medium size business. The candidate is required to possess the essential skills and experience detailed in the Position Description.
