An EL1 Human Resource Manager is accountable for exercising a high degree of independence and performing a leadership role in a human resource (HR) team. They will lead one or more teams undertaking HR activities and will be accountable for allocating and managing resources, and managing the performance of ATO employees in accordance with legislative, APS and ATO policies and instructions.
The EL1 Human Resource Manager is accountable for planning, coordinating and delivering detailed, complex and technical HR activities that may impact on strategic or operational outcomes for the ATO. They will be required to produce high-level HR advice, engaging in complex problem solving and issues management.
The EL1 Human Resource Manager is accountable for organising their own workflow, and for making decisions in relation to their work area and team plans. They are accountable to demonstrate an extensive understanding of the requirements of the position, as well as the legislative, regulatory and compliance frameworks that underpin its activities.
This position’s occupant will undertake the role of an Assistant Director HR working in the Business Directions and Governance team, in the Micro Enterprises and Individuals business line, in the Compliance Sub-plan. They will administer human resource activities, such as performance, recruitment, workforce planning, health and safety, and accommodation management for the Micro Enterprises and Individuals business line. They will also be responsible for resolving and providing advice and guidance to various stakeholders on a range of complex and diverse human resource issues.
