Job Description

Based in Melbourne's south eastern suburbs, you will also be required to work in Papua New Guinea, New Zealand and Singapore. Reporting directly to the Business Process Improvement / Internal Audit Manager, you will be an integral member of a newly created internal risk and audit department. Your key focus will be on improving company operations through bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management, internal control procedures and governance processes. Your responsibilities will include, but will not be restricted to:
  • Conducting business process improvement reviews and internal audits.
  • Working closely with the Business Process Improvement Manager in developing audit schedules and programmes.
  • Evaluating of the adequacy and appropriateness of the financial, operational and management controls within subsidiary companies.
  • Identifying the procedures required to ensure each key risk and transaction type is properly controlled and monitored.
  • Preparing high quality reports providing practical and effective recommendations.
  • Liaising with external auditors to ensure all audit programmes are aligned and external audit recommendations are addressed.
The Successful Applicant

CA / CPA qualified, you will ideally be trained within a leading chartered accounting firm, and have prior experience auditing large privately owned or listed clients. You will be well versed in business processes, enterprise risk management and verification procedures and have the ability to present concise oral and written reports. You will have the ability to develop strong working relationships with senior management and will have a sense of fun, enjoyment and passion for your role.
