Reporting to the operations Site Manager your primary function is to safely optimise the operations, maintenance and dispatch of Braemar 2 Power Station.
Responsibilities of this role include the following and more:
- To be responsible for coordinating operational and maintenance activities including major outages at Braemar 2 and assumes the role as Station Manager when the incumbent is off site.
- To comply with all EH&S policies, procedures and legislation.
- Eliminate or reporting workplace hazards, taking part in safety drills and other activities and supporting the work of safety representatives and committees.
- Conducting activities in accordance with Arrow’s environmental policies, codes and guidelines, in particular minimising energy and material usage in the workplace.
- Writing and reviewing JSEA’s, SOP’s, Risk Assessments and Isolation Sheets.
- Support the power station manager in the coordination of daily operations and maintenance.
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies to ensure short and long term targets are achieved.
- Be able to perform the role of an OMT with regards to the operation of 3 x Siemens SGT5-2000E open cycle gas turbines generating units and ancillary equipment to meet planned dispatch.
To be successful in the role, you will:
- Several years experience in power station or process plant operations and maintenance.
- Experience in a maintenance coordination role or similar.
- In depth knowledge of SAP for maintenance management and procurement.
- Ability to develop and implement maintenance management systems and philosophies.
- Applicable engineering trade or degree – electrical or mechanical desirable.
- Diploma level in applicable maintenance, project or business management qualification.
