NSW Public Works Facilities Management Division is currently looking to appoint a Grade 7 Cleaning Inspector. As the Grade 7 Cleaning Inspector you will be responsible for auditing cleaning and facilities management contract outcomes, monitoring performance and compliance on behalf of internal and external clients to ensure contractual compliance and supporting the business unit in the delivery of core client services. This will include regular physical site inspections in occupied schools and Agency offices.

As the Grade 7 Cleaning Inspector you will be responsible for auditing cleaning and facilities management contract outcomes, monitoring performance and compliance on behalf of internal and external clients to ensure contractual compliance and supporting the business unit in the delivery of core client services. This will include regular physical site inspections in occupied schools and Agency offices.
On a day to day basis you will be tasked with providing auditing, inspection, monitoring and performance management services for cleaning and facilities management contracts on behalf of client agencies to ensure contractual compliance, maintenance of contract information databases to ensure data integrity, providing timely advice and information to maintain strong business relationships, and mentoring/guiding of Grade 5/6 inspectors.
To be successful in this role it is essential you have extensive knowledge, understanding and experience within the cleaning industry, both in operational and management spheres. This role will involve travel on a daily basis. As such a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel is a prerequisite for the role. You will have demonstrated experience mentoring and guiding a team and evidence exceptional communication skills in building and developing client relationships. You will have proven computer skills including word processing and spreadsheets. You will evidence initiative and ability to perform with a minimum of supervision including being able to manage competing priorities and a high volume workload.
Job Notes: Special conditions on working hours and screening checks apply. Position will be required to drive Government vehicles and travel throughout NSW on regular basis including being regularly away from home for a week at a time, for up to 50% of total working time. This is a field-based position, and will only attend office for meetings/administration as required. The successful applicant must be capable of walking around sites and negotiating slopes, stairs and other such obstacles for the greater part of each working day. Salary Package: $91,152 package includes ($81,197-$83,626) plus superannuation
