The Department of Education’s Audit and Risk Management branch have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Auditor to join their team.

Reporting to the Team Leader of Business Systems and Risk Management, the Senior Auditor will coordinate and undertake the development and delivery of business systems and/or business processes audits and reviews.

The Senior Auditor will work as part of a dedicated team and have the opportunity to make a lasting contribution to the planning, administration and delivery of audit activities and provide support and input to the development of business system and management strategies.

To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following:

• Well-developed communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills that demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Experience in the development and auditing of business processes relevant to this role.
• Well developed conceptual, analytical and research skills including the ability to identify innovative solutions to solving problems.
• Proven ability to coordinate and manage people and deliver on agreed outcomes including the ability to identify innovative solutions to solving problems.
• Considerable knowledge of audit procedures, activity and techniques especially related to contemporary approaches to audit.
