Jobs in Perth (WA): Mining Engineer
A base metal miner with a new project that is in production and continually adding to capacity. This mine is offering a state of the art facilities and a world class resource.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting short, medium and long term planning activities;
  • Ensuring mine design, planning and optimisation;
  • Examining mining methods and equipment to improve performance;
  • Preparing drill and blast plans;
  • Providing engineering services to the mine manager as required;
  • Undertaking engineering project work as required;
  • Coordinating mining engineering activities with production teams, surveyors, geologists, drill and blast and contractor teams;
  • Undertaking mine economics activities including budgets and forecasts reserve calculations

Key Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification
  • 1st class mine ticket, working towards it or open to getting it.
  • A minimum of 2-5 years experience
  • Ideally experience in mining base metals

Career Opportunities

The career path for this role is ear marked for progression into senior management long term. Progression into Senior Mine Engineer is expected within a year to eighteen months depending on experience and progress.
