The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) is a critical participant in the administration of justice within Western Australia, providing an independent and effective criminal prosecution service which is both just and fair.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

As a Clerical officer you will undertake a key role in the work of a team within the ODPP and work closely with, and provide clerical assistance to State Prosecutors in managing prosecution files for a wide range of serious criminal offences. The ODPP employs Clerical Officers throughout the Office, including Legal Practice areas and Records Management.

  • 9% superannuation (employer contribution);
  • 20 days annual leave per calendar year;
  • 17.5% annual leave loading;
  • 112.5 hours personal leave per year;
  • An option to purchase up to 10 weeks additional annual leave;
  • 14 weeks paid parental leave.

This is an appointment pool. Suitable applicants may be considered for any permanent or fixed term, full time or part time vacancies that may arise within twelve months of the completion of the recruitment and selection process.

OTHER CONDITIONS

Given the serious nature of the work of the ODPP and the requirement for confidentiality, appointments will be subject to the outcome of a National criminal record screening process. Strict safeguards and confidentiality requirements are in place to protect the rights of all individuals screened.
