The Defence Library Service (DLS) provides essential support to more than 90,000 Defence people throughout Australia and overseas by delivering a cost effective, quality library and information service.

We are seeking a highly motivated Acquisitions Officer with an eye for detail to work within the Document Services team. The position will acquire all hardcopy library materials for the DLS and perform end processing, dispatching, claiming, invoicing and simple cataloguing.

The successful applicant will possess good communication and interpersonal skills, be flexible, show initiative, be customer focused and solve problems. They will achieve results, be organised, and committed to continued self development.

This is a security assessed position and the successful applicant will need to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the Negative Vetting 1 level.
