Exciting opportunity to join a huge global company as a Senior Safety Advisor
Reporting to the Superintendent Health & Safety Project Engineering, the successful candidate will be assigned to Project Engineering to deliver governance and implement initiatives on behalf of the Division in order to continuously improve Safety & Health performance particularly with a focus on risk and HSEQ Management Systems.
The primary focus of this role is to:
- Providing leadership on high risk activities associated with Project Engineering areas
- Providing proactive leadership, for Safety field based activities
- Providing support to Project Engineering through advising on H&S execution, constant interaction, mentoring, coaching and reporting.
- Ensuring safety management plans (via the CMS) are implemented within expansion projects are aligned with the HSEQ Management System and Rio Tinto Health and Safety Standards by means of site inspection and compliance auditing on behalf of the Owners Team.
