As Research Fellow, you will be working under general direction to perform a range of research related activities including administrative, financial and other activities associated with the research program, as well as supervisory and line management responsibility for technical, administrative and non-professional staff.
You will be required to present research results and findings regularly at departmental meetings and externally, as required.
You will also:
- provide technical advice and support within your area of expertise to colleagues,
- actively practise and promote all required safety, ethical and 'good practice' procedures,
- actively pursue and participate in self-improvement activities in consultation with your supervisor (for example, attendance at advanced training courses and seminars), and
- co-supervision and assessment of undergraduate and minor honours projects.
You will have:
- a PhD in or a closely related field to the project,
- ability to assist with student supervision including supervision of honours students and the assistance to PhD students, and
- a track record in publications and research outcomes and perform the assigned research projects to a very high standard of reproducibility, with the aim to publish works in internationally renowned research journals.
