Wesley Mission Brisbane is seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to join our finance team at Corporate Office, Chermside. The main function of this role is to assist in the day to day activities of the finance section, with a strong focus on the community services area.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Perform and prepare end of month reconciliations in line with the finance timetable.
- Daily bank reconciliations for all WMB accounts to include follow up of outstanding cheques, deposits and cancelling cheques.
- Maintain and reconcile debtor accounts for NILS clients and distribute monthly statements.
- EOM internal charge outs to include but not limited to Telstra billing.
- Creditor reconciliations, as required.
- Maintain and process fixed, variable and general journals.
- Maintain and process all facets of ANZ Expense Manager.
- Assist in the implementation of new systems and processes.
- Ensure procedures relating to the above duties are current.
- Perform some internal audit functions, as directed.
- Meeting agreed KPI’s associated with the role
- Provide relief for other finance department staff during annual leave periods, if required.
- Other duties as directed by Finance Operations Manager.
