About the Role and Key Responsibilities:

We have an exciting "unique" opportunity for an ambitious and driven Site Manager to take on a new challenge and build on their retail career at BP Cairns Truckstop (Far North QLD), a flagship site in the Reliance network. This would encompass managing high revenue lines for Fuel and Shop of this dynamic and fast paced Service Station.

As the Manager for this site you will be responsible for leading your team to 'excellence' as well as the complete operation of the store, including the management of staff, stock merchandising, health and safety, store presentation, food preparation and overall financial performance.

About You:

We are looking for applicants with strong communication and people skills who are driven and committed to providing high levels of customer service. You will also thrive in a team environment, be adaptable and keep a positive attitude in the face of any challenge. In addition to these attributes you will have:
  • Retail store management experience
  • Proven merchandising and shop presentation skills
  • Strong stock management skills (eg. ordering, stock rotation, shrinkage etc)
  • Cash handling management (eg. end of day, balancing, counting floats etc)
  • Experience in managing the financial performance of a retail site
  • Ability to manage escalated customer queries
  • Demonstrated commitment to Health and Safety
  • Experience with supervising, performance management and training of staff
  • Lead by example and strong communication skills
  • Previous experience in a similar retail environment is preferred
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen
  • High resilience in a challenging environment
