The Global Advisory Panel (GAP) on Corporate Governance and Risk Management of Blood Services in Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies is a group of experts from Red Cross Red Crescent (RC/RC) blood programmes. GAP provides guidance and advice to sister RC/RC blood services around the world and is supported by a small secretariat currently based at the Australian Red Cross Blood Service.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and team orientated individual to join the GAP team. Based in Herdsman, Perth, this 12 month fixed term position is part time for 22.8 hours per week (0.6 FTE). The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing the self-assessment plan in each region and support the International Secretariat Technical Program Manager in the implementation of other GAP projects and the provision of secretariat services. The Self-assessment questionnaire assists blood services to identify their risk management challenges, and the feedback reports developed by GAP offer risk reduction strategies.
In this role you will:
- Implement the self-assessment process in each region
- Support the provision of excellent secretariat support to the GAP Chair and members
- Provide website administration
- Facilitate the completion of other GAP projects
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Relevant tertiary qualification and/or extensive experience in collating, interpreting and reporting information
- Intermediate knowledge of MS PowerPoint and Excel, including the ability to develop graphs and tables from raw data.
- Experience in website administration (publishing content, maintaining continuity of themes, designing layout)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organised
- Strong attention to detail
- Proven ability to achieve objectives within set deadlines
- Able to prioritise and perform tasks with minimal supervision
- High level of cultural sensitivity
