
An Australian energy pioneer since 1954, Santos is one of the country’s leading gas producers supplying Australian and Asian customers. Santos has been providing Australia with natural gas for more than 40 years and today is one of the largest producers of natural gas for the Australian domestic market.
GLNG is a groundbreaking project that will use world-first technology to process coal seam gas (CSG) into liquefied natural gas (LNG). LNG is an energy source that has significant environmental benefits including substantially lower greenhouse gas emissions and water use when compared to other fossil fuels. The project will initially produce 7.8 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) of LNG, with a maximum potential production of 10 mtpa.
With significant construction underway in the GLNG project, we are looking for a Document Controller to join us as part of the GLNG Appraisal & Development Project Services team in Brisbane. This Document Controller will provide Document Control support and coordination of Information Management for the Project Services team.
This position is an office-based position based in our Brisbane CBD office; this will be a 12-month maternity leave contract.
Key job accountabilities will include:
- Register and maintain project documents in the approved Web Based Document Control system;
- Perform all document control activities for the Project Services team including registration, superseding and revision control, allocation of numbers, tracking, filing, retrieval, scanning, disposal and transmission of documentation;
- Ensure the Document Control procedures are complied with;
- Ensure contractor documentation deliverable meet GLNG quality requirements;
- Assist with training team users in the Document Control system, and in handling of internally and externally generated documentation in coordination with the overall Information management and Document Control procedures.
The successful candidate will have a certification in Business Administration (or similar), a minimum three years comparable document controller experience and be proficient in the use of Microsoft business applications. Previous experience in the Oil and Gas industry would be highly regarded.
