ABOUT US:
Australian Rail Track Corporation, a major national organisation, is responsible for managing infrastructure maintenance, capital upgrades and the movement of trains on interstate railway track across South Australia, Victoria, Western Australia, New South Wales and Queensland, as well as the Hunter Valley Coal Rail network.
THE POSITION:
Based in Broadmeadow, NSW you will report to the Executive Manager Business Improvement & Audit who will look to you to deliver ARTC's internal audits in line with company schedules and plans. Working cooperatively with the Internal Audit Team and Second Party auditors you will systematically analyse and report on audit outcomes and assist in the on-going development of risk based, annual audit plans to meet the audit related requirements of rail safety related legislation and standards.
ABOUT YOU:
We are seeking applicants with the following qualities:-
- Sound internal audit experience;
- Appropriate internal auditor training, preferably to the AS/NZS 19011 or equivalent standard;
- Extensive experience in auditing in a complex environment to achieve strategic objectives;
- High level analytical skills;
- Ability and commitment to systematically communicate, consult and liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders; and
- High level computer literacy, with experience using electronic recording databases.
Knowledge and understanding of legislative rail safety, risk management, environmental management and workplace health and safety requirements applicable to the rail industry OR a willingness and capability to quickly gain that knowledge and understanding is essential.
