Adam Road Primary School (PS) is seeking an experienced early childhood education teacher committed to achieving the best educational outcomes for our students. You will work as part of a dedicated team and have the opportunity to make a lasting contribution to our school community.

As a member of the school’s innovative ECE team, you will be expected to implement learning programs and practices that reflect the Early Years Learning Framework; the Australian Curriculum; First Steps Literacy and Numeracy and the key messages of the Department of Education’s Early Years of Schooling Initiative.
The School is located in South Bunbury, approximately 180 kilometres south of Perth. Bunbury is considered the commercial and residential heart of the prosperous South West Region of Western Australia, one of the most diverse and dynamic regions in the nation. It not only offers a waterfront playground, but also a cosmopolitan atmosphere of entertainment. With a stable population, Adam Road Primary School provides for families from the Stratham, Gelorup and College Grove areas, with approximately 470 students currently enrolled.
At Adam Road PS staff pride themselves on the behaviour of their students. The school has many extra curricula activities in place which are very well supported by the whole school community. Extra curricula activities include extensive Sporting Programs, the Arts and Instrumental Music.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be appointed to other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for 6 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following work related requirements:
- Ability to provide purposeful and relevant learning experiences that cater for different student learning needs as outlined in the Curriculum Framework;
- Ability to use a range of assessment and reporting methods that show student achievement in relation to learning outcomes;
- Commitment to plan and engage in professional learning activities that support school and systemic priorities;
- High-level support and participation in team planning for curriculum policy and programs;
- Collaboration with members of the school community building a team environment that supports student learning.
