Commonwealth Insurance Limited is the General Insurance arm of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia protecting the Home and Cars of over 500,000 Australians. This department is accountable for the end to end servicing of General Insurance customers including policy acceptance and administration, servicing customer enquiries, underwriting, claims and customer complaints. The team is focused on delivering quality solutions to CBA customers.
We are currently seeking Motor Claims Case Managers to work as an integral part in this newly created team which is due to commence operating in January 2012.
This position completes a broad range of claims processing tasks across the claims manufacturing process, in order to bring allocated claims to finalisation. The position is the primary communication point for the customer after allocation of their claims, until its finalisation.
- Process claims, categorised by causation, and estimated cost of repair, to delegated authority level
- Liaise with customer, assessors, suppliers, repairers and internal specialists, as appropriate, in order to manage claims process towards finalisation
- Diarise and finalise outstanding actions for completion within expected time frame
- Authorise procurement/payment or repairs of insured items, to delegated authority level, and within relevant policy and procedure guidelines/compliance requirements
- Refer claims outside delegated authority, or which have specialist processing requirements, as appropriate
- Assist in achieving results in Grade of Service (GOS)
- Provide exceptional customer service
The ideal applicant should encompass a minimum 6 - 12 months in a similar role processing end to end motor claims and have excellent communication skills.
