The Glenfield to Leppington Rail Line Project is a diverse infrastructure project designed to meet the transport needs of Sydney's growing south-west. The Project is a new 11km twin track rail line, connecting Glenfield to Leppington. The work includes two new passenger stations, bulk earthworks, bridges, rail systems, a train stabling yard and an underpass under the Hume Highway. We are actively seeking to recruit Site Engineers.
Key responsibilities:
- Control, monitor, report and coordinate progress and planning on site,
- Coordinate and arrange testing in line with specification requirements and maintain accurate records
- Provide technical support to Supervisors and sub-contractors to ensure that safety, time, cost and quality objectives are optimised
- As directed by Senior Project Engineer, undertake any cost control, estimating, budgeting, forecasting, sub-contract claim review and commercial negotiation activities
- Lead and champion JHG's safety vision of 'No Harm' in all aspects of site activities and establish a safe working culture across the sites
To be considered for this role you must have:
- Degree in Engineering (Civil / Structural)
- 3 years site experience on major Civil projects, preferably structural works
- Demonstrated technical knowledge & understanding
- Competent time management skills
- Excellent communication - verbal and written
- A total commitment to safety, quality, environment, and the community.
