Our client is seeking a motivated Reference Librarian with a passion for client service to join their team.
Located in the North Ryde area and close to public transport, you will be working in their exciting new Library.
In the role of Information Services Librarian you will provide reference and client services to support the undergraduate client base. You will also be responding to general enquiries and assisting with circulation as required.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in information management, knowledge management or librarianship
- Current experience in reference services in the tertiary or special library sector
- Good research skills across a wide range of databases
- High level communication skills, both verbal and written
- The flexibility to work in an environment of progressive change and the ability to work under pressure
- A commitment to the provision of proactive client services
A strong team player, you will be confident with technology, have good problem solving skills and the ability to make decisions as appropriate.
This position involves shift work, core library hours are from 8am to 10pm during the week, and to 6pm on weekends and public holidays
