Our client is seeking a knowledgeable Contract Administrator to work in conjunction with project management staff, to ensure projects are completed successfully, on time and within budget. They are also preparing this role to move into a Project Management position in the future, in addition to your CA role you will be taking on small projects to gain experience in this area.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyse and prepare for construction quantity, price, material and labour schedules, project budgets and subcontract agreements
- Prepare & submit progress claims in conjunction with Project/Construction Manager
- Facilitate timely certifications of claims and forward to administration for issue of tax invoices and follow-up outstanding debtors
- Cost checks and Valuations monthly with assistance from project team
- Verify Subcontractor agreements and monthly statements
- Monitoring performance of all suppliers of products and services including subcontractors.
- Prepare recommendations for project variations including work processes, cost estimates and contract variation negotiations.
- Establishment and maintenance of the project environmental management plans as required.
- Ensure that safety is considered in all forward planning in the arrangement, scheduling and operation of labour, materials, plant and equipment.
SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL POSSESS:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- At least 5 years in a similar role
- Good time management and problem solving skills
- Genuine industry experience in contracts administration, financial controls, procurement and project reporting
- Issue resolution and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage relationships with all stakeholders
