About the role

We have a vacancy for an Administration Assistant at our Bethany Aged Care Plus Centre. This warm and inviting aged care Centre offers all levels of care including short term respite care and community care packages. The Centre is located just minutes away from public transport, the town centre, beach and local services.

The Administration Assistant is responsible for supporting the Centre Management team in a wide range of duties, providing quality administration, reception and secretarial services, whilst maintaining a high level of confidentiality at all times.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

• An understanding, empathy, appreciation and the ability to promote the values and ethos of The Salvation Army
• Demonstrated relevant experience in a similar position
• Knowledge of the Aged Care industry and experience working in an Aged Care environment
• Highly developed secretarial, administrative and organisational skills
• Strong time management and work prioritisation skills
• Ability to work as part of a team and liaise with people on all levels
• Demonstrated computer literacy, particularly with Lotus Notes and MS Office Suite
• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, including strong written skills and ability to develop positive relationships
• Proven capability to deliver a professional level of customer service and to uphold confidentiality

As one of our Electrical Tradespersons, you’ll be supported by a close-knit team as you undertake work associated with the installation, commissioning and maintenance of substation plant and equipment. You will also be required to work in accordance with TransGrid’s High Voltage Safety Rules, Workplace Health and Safety regulations, Environmental policies and relevant regional safety instructions.

To be considered for the position, you will have:

• Completed a Certificate III in Electrotechnology or equivalent qualification.
• A current C class drivers licence and be prepared to attain an MR class if required.
• A willingness to reside within a reasonable distance of the appointed location.
• A willingness to be on ‘Standby’ duties as required.
• A willingness to spend periods away from the appointed location at distant locations.
• Motivation and be able to work as part of a team or individually

Notes:

• Applications will be considered from persons who are currently in their 4th year apprenticeship. Upon completion of the Apprenticeship the appointee will be remunerated at the Tradesperson rate
• Appointment and progression is based on TransGrid Skill Development program for Tradespersons/Lineworker and demonstrated competency
• Must be or become an ‘Authorised Person’ in accordance with TransGrid’s Safety Rules
• Completion of additional training necessary to perform all the duties of the position (NB Environmental Authorisation, and HV Switching Authorisation if required)
• Must be prepared to reside within a reasonable distance of the appointed location
• Must be prepared to be on ‘Standby’ if required
• Must be prepared to spend periods away from the appointed location if required
