Information about the Section/Branch
The NSW/ACT Network of FaHCSIA comprises a State Office in Sydney, 6 Indigenous Co-ordination Centres and a Regional Operations Centre. The Network represents the Department across NSW and the ACT; it manages funding agreements for mainstream and indigenous specific programs and maintains effective working relationships and partnerships with all stakeholders and clients, particularly the NSW Government. It has a lead role in the whole-of-government coordination effort in Indigenous affairs across Australian Government agencies at the State, regional and community level, and in supporting the implementation of COAG National Partnership Agreements in NSW, particularly those that go to Closing the Gap in indigenous disadvantage.
