We're looking for a dynamic Training Manager who will be required to exercise all the activities of Airbus Training and Checking. Your leadership and management will be crucial in the success of this position.

Reporting to the Manager Standards and Assurance, your key responsibilities will be:

  • Ensure all aspects of crew training is conducted safely, efficiently and in compliance with the Company Operations Manual
  • Ensure sufficient personnel are provided to supervise the competence of operating crew members and ensure the maintenance of standards
  • Contribute to the Standards & Assurance Team to ensure delivery of department and organisational objective
  • Supervising the training of pilots
  • Maintenance of the training records
  • Coordination with rostering/crewing regarding the rostering of training activities to ensure proficiency checks are appropriately rostered and conducted in time to ensure continued validity.

To be considered for this role you will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in related field;
  • Previous experience in a similar position;
  • High attention to detail
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite;
  • Process driven with experience in constructing new process's to deliver business goals;
  • Highly motivated and committed to continuous improvement;
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Punctual and reliable.

The Organisation

Airservices is a government-owned corporation providing safe and environmentally sound air traffic control management and related airside services to the aviation industry. The Role

The Property Manager is responsible for the management of a selected number of properties within a defined area of Airservices property portfolio, together with other related property portfolio management planning and reporting activities.

Primary responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to;
  • Undertake negotiations with internal/external clients as both landlord and tenant and prepare leases/licences accordingly;
  • Contribute to the preparation of the annual property budget as it relates to the portfolio;
  • Prepare and monitor expenditure and revenue forecast reports;
  • Build effective working relationships Providing specialist property advice to stakeholders.

The Person

The successful candidate will have great communication skills with the ability to foster effective relationshops with both internal and external stakeholders. You will ideally possess experience in Corporate and Commercial Real Estate negotiations with proficiency in the use of a range of computer applications including Microsoft Office (Word, Exel, PowerPoint) and SAP Real Estate.

The Role

Our vibrant Air Traffic Management Systems Support (ATMSS) team based in Melbourne are currently seeking a, Team Leader to join their high performing team to provide tactical management and leadership in supporting the National Air Traffic Control System.

In this team leader position you will report directly to the ATMSS Manager . As the team leader you will provide the overall leadership of the ATMSS Engineering Support team taking into account the management of planning, task assignment, ongoing continuous improvement, performance reporting, anticipated resource requirements and staff initiated issues.

This role is primarily a technical role and will require complex engineering assessment of the systems supported by ATMSS in order to form an accurate picture of effort required to ensure integrity and continuity of service of the systems. Good Communication skills are essential as you will be required to liaise directly with Air Traffic Control and key Subject Matter Experts on a daily basis.

The role provides advice to the ATMSS Manager on workforce planning & scheduling issues affecting the systems supported by ATMSS. This will enable the ATMSS Manager to balance demand and workflow across the business unit identifying peaks and troughs to enable better overall resource management.

Within this exciting and challenging role you will be:


  • Guiding, mentoring and developing a team of Software and Systems engineers in support of our National Air Traffic Control system;
  • Liaising with key Subject Matter Experts to ensure that safety and business risks are identified, assessed and managed;
  • Continually reviewing and, where necessary, improving systems to achieve industry best practice with application support models and related supplier relationships;
  • Analysing data, recognising trends, and identifying opportunities for improving methods, systems and practices of the ATMSS Engineering Support team; and
  • Investigating technical issues and presenting information with recommendations for decisions by senior management.
  • Assessing the level of skills required, and potential skills shortfalls, in the future provision of systems supported by ATMSS Engineering Support.

The Person

Your Technical, IT or Engineering degree or diploma and demonstrated experience in similar roles as well as your comprehensive understanding of technical workforce planning and scheduling will set the platform for you to excel within this role.

Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will assist you in building and maintaining productive working relationships across the organisation with both internal and external stakeholders.

Your success in leading and mentoring a team, including the proven ability to influence and motivate others to get the job accomplished will see you meet and exceed the business needs. Your proven experience in developing others through actively participating in cross training activities within your team will further assist you in achieving success within this role.
