Position Profile:

This role will be responsible in providing HR support and advice to achieve NICTA’s objectives of wealth creation and national benefit. This will also involve providing pragmatic operational HR services across the organisation.

Accountabilities and Associated Responsibilities:

Contract Management, Immigration & Recruitment

  • Work with HR Administrator in ensuring all employment contracts are completed in accordance with NICTA recruitment practices and are legally compliant
  • Coordinate immigration requirements in liaison with NICTA’s migration agent and research groups.
  • Maintain online recruitment and induction systems
  • Provide advice and guidance to managers on the recruitment process and assist with recruitment activities.
  • Conduct exit interviews with departing employees

Learning & Development

  • Administer training requirements for the business
  • Coordinate & source learning and development activities.

Employee Relations

  • Provide advice to research and operations managers on employee relations matters with the support of HR Director,
  • Interpret and advise on employment contract issues,
  • Provide advice on the impact of Fair Work Act on employment contracts and HR practice with the support of HR Director.

Policies and Procedures

  • Provide input into the development and review of HR policies as required.
  • Provide advice and assist in the implementation of HR policies and across all HR practices.

Reporting & Projects

  • Generate HR reports as required by the team and the board.
  • Assist with other HR projects as required.

Essential Requirements:
Degree Qualification in Human Resources/Business or other related fields or relevant on the job experience,
Excellent communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills,
Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation,
High level of professional and ethical practice,
Flexible approach to work and ability to work well in a team environment,
High attention to detail with proven proof reading experience,
Demonstrated ability to work with sensitive material and maintain confidentiality,
Awareness and understanding of NICTA’s Business Conduct and Risk Management policies and procedures.
Willingness to comply with EEO and WHS standards.

Salary:$65 - $75K Package
