
The School of Nursing and Midwifery at CQUniversity Australia is seeking a nursing lecturer to join our dynamic and energetic, forward-thinking team. Teaching clinical and theoretical courses within the School, this position will provide the successful applicant with the opportunity to teach across all years of the academic program and may include some postgraduate teaching. Academics at CQUniversity are encouraged to participate in research activities, scholarship and community engagement.
Remuneration:
Lecturer: Total remuneration ranges from $93,837 to $111,432 per annum includes salary from $79,293 to $94,161 per annum, plus 17% employer superannuation and annual leave loading.Associate Lecturer: Total remuneration ranges from $65,935 to $89,140 per annum includes salary from $55,716 to $75,325 per annum, plus 17% employer superannuation and annual leave loading.
SELECTION CRITERIA
Lecturer or Associate Lecturer in Nursing
Essential
For Lecturer:
- Possession of a PhD in a relevant discipline or significant progress towards same.
For Associate Lecturer:
- Possession of a higher degree in nursing or a related discipline, or significant progress towards same.
And additionally:
- Record of participation in research and scholarly activities including publications in refereed journals, conferences, research grants and contribution to research teams
- Proven ability in education of nursing students, including the ability to teach and write course materials in nursing
- Ability to contribute to scholarship and professional activities at various levels within nursing including regional, national and/or international participation
- High level interpersonal qualities and collegial approaches that facilitate teamwork across campuses, planning and contribution to a productive, healthy and supportive work environment for both staff and students
- Current registration (or be eligible to register) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
- Pre-employment check – blue card as required
- Commitment and personal articulation of principles of equity
Desirable
- Ability to participate in the supervision of research higher degree students
- Ability and preparedness to participate in the faculty-wide administrative duties
