The position… is an exciting opportunity to expand on your boating/marina experience whilst utilising your high quality administrative skills to ensure the smooth operations at Docklands Waterways.
Work amongst a dynamic team who are responsible for delivering strategic and management plans to facilitate the development of Docklands as a world class, accessible, integrated and thriving destination for leisure, recreation and commercial boating.
The position fulfils the primary customer service function of the Marina office and provides a meet-and-greet service for arriving vessels, introduction to Marina facilities and the precinct and answers enquiries from visiting boat owners.
This position works across a seven day roster. Hours are generally 9:00am-5:00pm Sunday to Thursday, with a degree of flexibility. The salary includes a 20% loading for working outside normal business hours. There is also an opportunity to work overtime as required.
You will have…
- Ability to demonstrate and display City of Melbourne Values - accountability, integrity, courage, respect for self and others, and striving for excellence.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays, on a 7 day roster.
- Strong customer service skills with an outgoing and energetic personality that will enhance the customer's recreational experience.
- Marine environment and boat knowledge. Well developed interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate with people at all levels.
- Proven ability to coordinate financial processes.
- Proven administration skills.
