Jobs in Brisbane (QLD): QA Analyst at Suncorp
Suncorp is on the move! Our strategic vision is to become the most admired financial services organisation in Australia and New Zealand, and with over 5 million customers, we're well on our way to our goal. With a wide range of insurance products distributed both directly and indirectly throughout Australia, our brands include VERO, GIO and AAMI. Here you will work with energetic and motivated people who aim to deliver strong, consistent returns, year after year, for our shareholders, and our employees as we help people build and protect their dreams.

We now have an exceptional opportunity for a Quality Assurance Analyst to design, maintain and deliver a Quality Assurance data analysis and reporting function to identify risk and opportunity for improvement across Personal Insurance. In addition to analysis of claims trends, you'll be recommending actions to optimise our claims processes, employee development and enhancement of the customer experience overall.

Typical tasks might involve:

  • Developing a suite of reports/reviews to monitor/ensure regulatory compliance throughout Personal Insurance, as well as identify areas of claims leakage in that same area
  • Identifying suspected fraudulent activity throughout Personal Insurance
  • Collating, analysing and reporting data and identifying emerging trends, leakage and process improvement
  • Ad hoc reporting as required using SQL including statistical sampling for QA Reviews suitable for audit reviews
  • Engaging with stakeholders at all levels of the business positioned both internally and externally to Personal Insurance
  • Investigate claim systems for potential risks associated with fraud and leakage

We envisage the successful candidate would have a qualification in data analysis/Statistics or IT, or considerable practical experience. A tertiary qualification in Maths/Statistics/Computer science or Information Systems would be highly regarded.

To thrive in this position, we would envisage that the successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of contemporary risk management principles, outstanding commercial acumen, be highly conceptual and innovative, with the ability to observe, assess and identify problems and make recommendations for improvement with strong understanding of the impact of any process changes. You'll need outstanding interpersonal skills, strong negotiation skills and a high level of proficiency with the Microsoft Office including Excel, Access and experience with some data analytical tools and other management systems. SQL experience is preferred.

In return, we offer competitive salary, exceptional employee benefits, a flexible working environment, dynamic team and a role with plenty of diversity that can provide genuine career progression for the right candidates.

If you believe your background closely matches the requirements outlined above we would encourage you to apply today. For further information, please refer to the attached position description or contact Petah-Jane Anastasas on 07 3135 4051.
