The Commonwealth Bank is currently looking for an experienced high performance Corporate Banker with a love for business development to become part of our CAA team. The team operates within the Corporate Financial Services division and is based in Sydney, and the purpose of the Executive role is to identify and acquire new Corporate clients for the bank.
The role will see the successful candidate deliver exceptional customer service in all dealings; Prepare and manage end to end new business transactions and ensure a seamless handover to Relationship teams; Actively pursue the identification of opportunities to assist new clients meet their day-to-day financial needs; Promote products and services to meet financial needs whilst excelling in customer service; Proactively undertake market and/or industry analysis to identify new target clients; Take ownership of prospect transactions; Assist in the preparation of credit applications; Negotiate commercial terms of transactions with new clients and oversee progress of deal execution through to conclusion to ensure timely and efficient delivery of new clients; Cross sell of products, as well as ad hoc duties.
To be a successful candidate for this role you must possess a successful track record in origination of new business in the stated market (client turnover of $50 million minimum). The size, complexity and "new business" nature of the submissions requires a high level of analysis and involvement from various internal/external parties. You will have strong written and verbal communication/negotiation skills, as well as possessing strong Relationship Management and sales skills. You will have the capacity to work in a competitive financial services business development environment.
