Property Transactions Officer - NSW Government

As a Property Transaction Officer you will deliver property divestment and acquisition services for client agencies to meet NSW government and State Property Authority business objectives. In this client facing role, you will assist in and undertake the management of projects of a strategic and routine nature for the disposal of Government property assets (particularly non-performing, underutilised or redundant assets) to achieve revenue targets and improve client agency outcomes.
You will be managing multiple projects simultaneously, requiring development of project plans, appointment of specialist consultants and keeping deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Focusing on property divestments, the current program includes property divestments of both a complex and routine nature. The role also assists in the acquisition of land, easements and dwellings to meet infrastructure and other NSW government objectives.
You will also be expected to provide advice to management and agencies on all facets of property matters ensuring transactions satisfy probity requirements and achieve financial targets within a time-critical environment.
To be successful in this position you will have demonstrated initiative, skill and experience in contributing to the development, implementation, management and delivery of complex and routine property projects; ability to interpret land and title documents; demonstrated knowledge of financial and commercial analysis of property assets, including disposal transactions; demonstrate exceptional communication skills and proven commercial acumen. Relevant tertiary qualifications in an appropriate property discipline such as valuation, land economics or town planning, will be highly regarded.
