An exciting opportunity exists to join the Supply Chain team at Echuca as the Cost Accountant. This is a fixed term role until June 2012 where you will provide support to the Plant Accountant, analyse detailed workings of the operation and assist with product costing.
Reporting to the Plant Accountant, your duties will include:
- Generation and analysis of weekly manufacturing data
- Assisting in the preparation of factory operational budgets / forecasts and the planning, evaluation and verification of capital expenditure proposals
- Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules and ensuring the correctness of the accounts
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly reports by providing variance analysis and information to the Plant Accountant
- To be successful in this role you will be a self starter who has demonstrated success in working to deadlines and providing accurate information. You will be tertiary qualified in accounting, have a good understanding of manufacturing ERP systems and ideally have previous factory experience.
