The Indigenous Coordination Centres (ICC) are committed to making a difference to the lives of Indigenous Australians within the region through better coordination and collaboration across government, more innovative and flexible approaches to the development and delivery of Indigenous programmes and services, greater accountability and real partnerships with local Indigenous communities.

FaHCSIA staff are located in ICCs and operate in 30 locations around Australia. They deliver program and contract management and support services across a range of Indigenous specific and mainstream programs. These programs and contracts support the broader ‘Closing the Gap’ Strategies.

Description of the role


As the Corporate Services Officer your role will be to provide administrative services to the ICC Manager and ICC officers as required.

Duties may include:

  • Provide oversight to registry staff – including planning and implement work schedules to ensure deadlines for required tasks have been met and contribute to reviews of work practices and procedures, including providing advice on the efficient and effective delivery of services;
  • Accounts payable;
  • Credit card reconciliation;
  • File management of a computer based filing system;
  • Fleet vehicle management oversight – including maintenance and lease arrangements;
  • General registry duties as required;
  • Corporate building and housing stock maintenance management;
  • Management of assets;
  • Arranging catering for functions as required;
  • Contributing to the achievement of team/work unit goals;
  • Contributing to reviews of work practices and procedures within a work area;
  • Responding to enquiries from clients and external agencies/organisations and provide information and advice; and
  • As a member of the ICC team, provide support and assistance to the other ICC office staff as required and guidance to new staff, including on the job training.

Selection Criteria

The following criteria reflect the abilities, qualifications, experience, standard of work performance and personal qualities sought in the occupant of the position.
Criterion 1 - Demonstrated experience in providing corporate support, including payment of creditors and vehicle and property management.
Criterion 2 - Demonstrated experience in using relevant tools for business management; including spreadsheets, word processing and other corporate and office systems.
Criterion 3 - Demonstrated ability to use initiative and judgement while working independently in a corporate environment
Criterion 4 - A demonstrated ability to work with external and internal stakeholders in a mature and responsive manner
Criterion 5 - Demonstrated ability to coordinate a small team and the ability to contribute to the ICC as an effective team member.
Criterion 6 - Demonstrated awareness and personal commitment to the APS Values and Code of Conduct.


Salary:$65,194 - $67, 690
